Types of Esports Betting Markets
There are many types of markets available to bet on within a single Esports match. The main market types at inf988 are —
Match Winner
A simple bet on which team will win the entire match — the most suitable market for those new to Esports betting.
Map Handicap
In Best-of-3 or Best-of-5 format tournaments, predict the map result and place bets using the Handicap market.
First Blood / First Kill
A market that predicts which side will get the first kill after the game starts — available in both FPS and MOBA games.
Total Maps / Rounds
An Over/Under market on the total number of maps or rounds played in a match — a market where those who know both teams' form well can excel.
How to read Esports Odds
Odds are numbers that express probability in monetary terms. inf988 uses the Decimal Odds format. For example, if Team A's Odds are 1.80 and Team B's Odds are 2.10, you can estimate that Team A is more likely to win.
The payout is calculated using the formula — "Stake × Odds = Potential Return". For example — if you bet 10,000 Ks at Odds 1.80 and win, you will receive 18,000 Ks back (including your original 10,000 Ks).
Odds can change depending on the time before the match starts, so check back on inf988 regularly. In in-play (live) markets, Odds will keep changing even while the game is in progress, so be more careful when making your decisions.
